Chapter Photos 2018
The members of CRDA met on Saturday, March 24th and has an amazing day working on various surfaces using the newest painting method, "acrylic pouring". The class was led by CRDA member Bonnie Rand and assisted by Stephanie Pooler. Bonnie showed us how we can take regular acrylic paint and by adding some special ingredients, make stunning designs. First she had us pour paint on a small canvas; then we moved to a tile; then she encouraged us to use our creativity and our favorite paint colors to design our own larger canvas. After the class was over, some members and guests stayed to help Vicki Alley with a project for the SDP conference banquet. Using marbling paints graciously provided by Plaid, the ladies poured paint and made amazing designs on some lazy Susans that will used on some of the banquet tables as part of their centerpieces. They came out absolutely beautiful! |

| CRDA has made a donation of $350 to The Porch Light. This is a program run by the Florida Baptist Children's Home in Lakeland, Florida to help meet the need for safe homes for child victims of domestic sex trafficking. The Porch Light provides shelter, unconditional love and a safe place to begin a new life. In addition to providing care to victims, The Porch Light also focuses on sex trafficking prevention and advocacy efforts. These efforts include educating the public about protecting their children, knowing the signs and detecting behaviors that may indicate that a child needs help.
